>> Interactive Digital Art Installations:
LUZIDEN: In dem Träumenden Gehirn
An interactive video triptych that plunges the viewer into the surreal world of lucid dreams and the collective unconscious. Created using concepts and material from actual dreams gathered by the artist, Luziden allows the viewer to produce a unique visual and aural dream-state through interaction with a MIDI keyboard. By turns beautiful, hilarious, and disturbing, this is one piece you won't want to miss.

TABULA RASA
Too
often, many feel alienated from technological
art and media because it's inaccessibly expensive or the learning curve
is too steep. This piece puts you squarely in the driver's seat,
manipulating objects on a backlit table. A live video feed is processed
in realtime and projected for all to see. Best of all, it requires no
prior knowledge, and lets you grab your work online later!
David London's SCOPOSCOPE
Scoposcope organically generates color, light, shape and design through the use of kaleidoscopic video feedback*, glass & acrylic spheres, and LCD technology.

Contests//
We are also running two contests for this event: Register for it separately with the given email addresses. There will be great prizes which we will reveal pretty soon.
1. District Dwellers - A Poster Design Contest

What does DC mean to you? Whether it be a
restaurant, a park, a street or a small corner, you have made DC your
personal space. We want you to promote it. Use this canvas to capture
the essence of your DC space. Then turn it into a poster that will hang
amongst many recreating all the spaces across the District. Think of it as a contest that
celebrates the city and its creative residents.
To contribute,
simply submit a poster design that could be promoted right in your
'hood. As dwellers of the district, we all have a space we feel
connected to. Express it—whatever that means—in something that can be
printed at 11x17. All submissions
will be voted on by a jury of DCDB members and artists throughout
Washington, DC.
Together, we'll raise awareness and support the
creative artists living in our Nation's Capital.
All entries/questions must be submitted to:
dcdb.contest@gmail.com
